Set out this morning for Bako National Park, Sarawak’s oldest national park and one of Borneo’s most rewarding wildlife areas. Travel by boat along the coast before exploring its rainforest trails, mangrove habitats and striking sandstone landscapes.

Keep an eye out for proboscis monkeys, long-tailed macaques, bearded pigs and colourful birdlife. Return to Kuching in the late afternoon.

This morning, visit Semenggoh Wildlife Centre, where rescued and rehabilitated orangutans live in a protected rainforest environment. Depending on the season and fruiting conditions, you may have the opportunity to see them at the feeding area.

Later, discover the culture and traditions of Sarawak at the Sarawak Cultural Village, with its traditional longhouses and insights into the region’s diverse indigenous communities. Return to Kuching in the afternoon.
