Where to Go in Vietnam in September
September is one of Vietnam’s most beautiful and underrated months to travel. Northern Vietnam: The Golden Rice Season
September is arguably the best time to visit Northern Vietnam. The rice terraces of Sapa, Mu Cang Chai, and Hoang Su Phi turn brilliant shades of gold as harvest season begins, creating some of the most breathtaking landscapes in Southeast Asia.

Halong Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay also offer pleasant weather and fewer visitors than the summer months, making September a wonderful time for an overnight cruise.
Central Vietnam: A Tranquil Beach Escape
Early September still brings warm weather to Central Vietnam. Destinations such as Hoi An, Da Nang, and Quy Nhon enjoy quieter beaches and a more relaxed atmosphere before the rainy season gradually arrives later in the month.
